Let me preface this blog by saying if you have plans to visit the Mississippi Gulf Coast anytime soon, look no further than South Beach for your accommodations! We spent two nights at this Beach Boulevard hotel and suites, but there is no doubt to any of the guests that this is more like a condo than your basic hotel.

South Beach is located directly on the sand in Biloxi, just a few steps from the soft sounds of the Gulf of Mexico and its warm southern waters. With balconies on every room, there are multiple chances to see stunning Mississippi sunrises and sunsets during your stay.We are huge on first impressions and when we entered the lobby, we were blown away by the decor, the cleanliness, and the incredibly friendly staff. The walls were muraled with beach scenes that looked to be from the 1950s and 1960s, all portraying families frolicking on the beach.

Check in on the 3rd floor (parking available on the 1st and second floors) was quick and easy and within minutes, we were headed to the 5th floor, where our two-bedroom, one and a half bath suite awaited us. Not fully aware of what we were about to experience, we were stunned when we walked in. The first bedroom and bathroom were just within the door and then the room exploded open with light and space in a massive kitchen and dining room area. A large living room with plenty of comfortable seating, led straight onto the large balcony with sweeping views of the beach for miles on both directions.

The master bedroom not only sported a king size bed but also floor to ceiling glass on one side of the room, offering guests a view of the beach from anywhere in the room. The huge garden tub was perfect for soaking after a long day shopping, exploring small towns along the coast, or just a day on the beach. The star of the bathroom was the large, glassed shower. This room only got better early in the morning when the sun was crawling over the gulf, slowly entering through the glass of the bedroom. There was no better way of waking up after a sleep in one of the most comfortable beds I have ever been in away from home.

The beautiful blue and white hotel is not easy to miss as it is one of only a couple of hotels sitting directly on the beach. The location of this hotel makes it a hot commodity on the Gulf Coast as it is only 3 miles from the Coast Coliseum and nearly on the Gulfport/Biloxi line. The plethora of restaurants and attractions within just a few miles of this hotel are unmatched. There is even a wooden boardwalk that leads from the hotel to Shaggy’s and several other businesses.

Additionally, the third floor is also home to the gym, bar, cafe, and wrap around balcony that gives you a few from all sides of the hotel. There are so many amazing things that can bring you to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but regardless if its sports, work, vacation, or just a getaway, South Beach needs to be your stay!Call them today at (228) 388-2627.
